Adult Summer Reading Program an unqualified success in 2012
This year, Barton County Library’s adult patrons responded to the Summer Reading Program in a big way. The total of 91 participants was a nearly 300% increase over 2011. No doubt the Grand Prize of an Amazon Kindle Fire was a motivating factor, although many patrons certainly appreciated the treat coupons provided by Sonic and McDonald’s. Patrons also wrote 372 book reviews, which are posted here. More than 418 books were checked out in connection with this reading program.
